HOW TO GET THERE?
The Island of Jomalig is situated at Quezon Province, southeast of Polillo Islands, home of the sought after luxury resort, Balesin.
Itinerary
September 22, 2016
11:00pm - Manila to Real, Quezon Province
- Approximately 4-5 hours of land travel;
- Ride a Raymond Bus bound to Infanta, at Legarda Terminal (infront of Arellano
University). Get off to real Port in Quezon (There are two ports there, main port of
Real is leading to Polillo Island, so it’s a little bit confusing, make sure to properly
inform the bus driver or the conductor that you guys are going to Jomalig);
- Fare of air-conditioned buses costs Php. 198.00/passenger;

4:30am - Real Port (Heading to Jomalig) to Jomalig
- Approximately 5-6 hours of travel (depending on the weather situation);
- Since we arrive early, we spent our remaining 6 hours for taking photos on the port
11:00am - Ride a passenger boat/fishing boat going to Jomalig. The boats normally leaves
at 10:00am to 12:00 in the afternoon;
- Fare: Costs Php.350.00 per passenger (one way). Inclusion of one course meal
5:00pm - Touchdown, the Golden Shoreline of Jomalig
- There are no hotels or inns in the island, but homestays (most likely nipa huts) are
Scattered around the town. And since we contacted a resort prior to our trip, one
of their staff escorted us using habal-habal which costs Php.110.00/passenger
5:15pm - Checking-in, Tejada’s Resort in Sitio Landing (With a stunning view of the sunset)
- A 15 min. ride of habal-habal from unofficial Jomalig Port;
- They have rooms (Nipa Hut Style) which costs Php.500.00 per night/pax
(with common kitchen, toilet, and bath);
- If you wish to have your tent accommodation, they are welcome for rentals for
Php.150 per night.
6:00pm - Sunset view infront of Tejada’s Resort (Reach them at: +639399097532)
- They have instgrammable array of Agonoy/Pine Trees right infront of the beach
7:00pm - Dinner and Wine Party at the Tent
onwards - The resort offers home-made meals from breakfast to dinner upon request
(On our case, it’s Php.200.00 per meal, good for 2 pax) But they have also a
common kitchen which is free to use, inclusion of dinnerware, cooking utensils,
and kerosene.

5:00am - Island Tour (6 beaches and 2 islets)
*High tides and lowtides are unpredictable and I highly recommend you guys to
rent a habal-habal in touring the entire island of Jomalig.
- Habal-habal costs Php.600.00 per person, for a whole day tour (negotiable when you guys avail of a group basis) thus, they are duly accredited at the local tourism office. It’s a stress free tour, you’ll not be experiencing hassle on where to go, where to visit first, when/where to stop. Becasue “bahala na si kuya” trip (Referring to Habal-Habal Driver’s service) will lessen your fears and queries. I guarantee that!

- Van for hire awaits visitors at the port which costs Php.220.00/pax
Beaches and Islets
· Salibungot Beach - The creme-of-the-crop”, showcasing magnificent golden sand
you shouldn’t miss.
· Little Boracay - White sand beach
· Lingayen Isle - Over the cliff experience
· Cannaway Islands - Majestic sand bar when its low tide season
· Sandbar - Crescent Moon shape
· Sanctuary - Mangroves view
· Pulong Maliit - Good for mild swimming and snorkeling
· Pulong Malaki - Good for light hiking, mild swimming and snorkeling
By riding a Habal-Habal, you can also hopped to Pulong Malaki and Pulong Maliit via fishing boat at Php.200.00/per (roundtrip). “bahala na si kuya” negotiated the said boat fare, for us.
